C'est Christmas Eve... ^.^ Time to bake cookies and get ready for presents and such tomorrow!

In case you can't read the poem, it's this;

Yes, every day God's children cry for woes on Earth for accept,
But a single comfort walking by can stop our human angsting yet...
Despite all the war, there will also be peace,
Wait a little bit more, and hate will decrease...
Just hold on, sweet children, as the Christmas bell rings,
And let hope keep builging as your love-starved soul sings
In desire of caring and good deeds to do;
Though hate's overbearing, Merry Christmas to you!

Of course, I do realize not everyone celebrates Christmas...but "Happy Holidays" would've thrown off the timing of the poem! XD;;; Don't think I'm being ignorant.

Oh.

Damn.

I'm going to be 16.

In four days.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*siiiiiigh* ...I need to shut my imagination off. I have too many Yu-Gi-Oh shonen-ai ideas, garg! I must stop...before I exhaust myself...just thinking about writing them all!!!!! XP How many parodies is that, now? Namonaki Ai I've finished, just started Tale as Old as Time...and there's one that's shonen-ai but not a parody...and how many are left? *counts* NINE?!?!?!?! FUCK! I wonder if I should discuss them with Claire-chan or someone and figure out if I can filter out some of the not-so-good ideas. -.-

I got into Princess Tutu. Stupid name, I know, but the anime is actually damn good...so much conflict and romance and ballet and music and cool characters... X3 Don't dare tease me about it if you haven't seen it; you'll change your mind about it, I'm pretty sure, unless you are allergic to ballet and love conflicts. =P Fakir = <3!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Princess Tutu, Mum and I saw the Nutcracker in D.C. yesterday...and I wasn't impressed. I love the story, but its story is short, there are so many tangent dances with very little point that I found didn't display much passion. The only other thing I critique is that the part  in the Nutcracker that would've likely been my favorite part because it's the part with the most action and possible passion was poorly planned...if you don't know what part I mean, it's the battle scene between the Rat King and the Nutcracker. The sword play was too strict and simple, and there was no sense of danger or suspense. That means the entire emotion of the scene wasn't there, and that makes an actor like me quite upset indeed. But Drosslemeyer (I grinned when I realized this character is also in Princess Tutu) was really cool, and Clara's grandfather was very funny, getting drunk a lot during the party...and though I thought the dances the Sugarplum Fairy and her attendant did were boring, the Dance of the Reed Flutes, the Waltz of the Flowers and the Russian Dance were nothing short of spectacular.

Anyway...onto making my family's Toll-house cookies for Santa. ^.~

Happy belated Thanksgiving, everyone. I left directly after school on Wednesday, so I couldn't post my tidings in time.

But whatever. On to more important things that don't include food I don't particularly enjoy and family that I have nothing in common with.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY WAS FUCKING AWESOME.

No joke. We totally rocked the socks off that silly thing...considering we didn't have the best actors or tons of funding...and considering I was a character with only two lines, I had tons of fun.

So, as in keeping with tradition of productions, I have copies of pictures, thanks to our very own DAAAAAAHLING Melissa Cohen. =)

I suppose we should start with our very own Willy Wonka, a.k.a. my Secret Buddy and Luke Campbell. Isn't his hat just so PIMPIN'? I <3 it. And him, for that matter: it would've been hard to find a better Wonka than him. ^.^

AAAAAAAND here's Luke with the other two main dudes in this play, our Charlie and Grandpa Joe, a.k.a. my friends Erik-kun and Peter-kun. Peter just couldn't get his hair to be as white as he wanted it, poor guy...he wasted two entire cans of hair-dye on the first night just trying to do it. AND PETER HAS A BARNYARD SHIRT! <3 Only Emessa will understand my delight at that.

Here's the best shot available of the five families around the "chocolate river" in front of the stage, which was really a brown sheet waved up and down by three Oompa Loompas. From the far left; Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe (Erik and Peter), Veruca Salt (Stephanie Owen, one of the RAMCO presidents), Mr. Salt (Ben "Chuck" Hollies, a GREAT actor), Mr. and Mrs. Gloop (my friend Catie Campbell, no relation to Luke, and James Tauber), Augustus Gloop (Kelley Tran, who is a total sweetheart), Violet Beauregarde (Ashley Flowers),  Willy Wonka (Luke, of course), and Mike, Mr. and Mrs. Teavee (Polly Ingram, Nick Towns and yours truly). You can't see Mrs. Salt (Rebecca Claborn) or Mrs. Beauregarde (Melissa Cohen) very well, as they're behind Mr. Gloop and Willy Wonka, respectively. If you're curious about the Teavees' costumes, Nick and I, by a suggestion from our director Mr. Baughman, decided we were mad scientists who find a sick pleasure in some of the things that happen to the other children...then, of course, when my own son is shrunk, we get QUITE upset.

You can't perform Charlie and the Chocolate Factory without Oompa Loompas, so, naturally, our Oompa Loompas had to be rocking. My loverly friends among these awesomely dressed actors are Amy Broadbent (in the white bandana, the "ghetto" Oompa Loompa), Daniella Hirsh (the Oompa Lompa with the long brown hair in the second picture, the cheerful, yet pain-loving Oompa Loompa), Mary Ghitelman (the Oompa Loompa with normal glasses in the second picture, the Hobbit-turned-Oompa Loompa) and my loverly sister, Emessa-chan (the one with the red barnyard hat, the redneck Oompa Loompa). I find it odd that Emessa-chan's face can't be picked out in either of the picture; I'm sure Emessa is pleased, it makes her look so mysterious and dark. These pictures could easily be made in avatars...feel free to tempt me, sister dear.

I was quite dismayed when I learned the boat Wonka takes the families around his factory in was pink, but it turned out pretty well for a pink boat. I had a lot of fun in the boat scene even though I said my last, short line in it: "He's dippy!" in reference to Wonka. at least I was able to scream when the boat came to stops and morph my face into amusing confused or scornful expressions at Wonka's behavior. You can see Mrs. Salt and Mrs. Beauregarde better in this picture, too; I love the hat Rebecca got to wear as Mrs. Salt...of course, I loved Catie's Mrs. Gloop hat too. I FEEL SO JEALOUS!!! WHY DIDN'T I GET A FUNNY HAT?! T_T .......even without a hat, though, I think this picture is one of the few good ones I've see of me. I <3 the red rubber bag I bought for my role...I was determined to had some kind of guady bag to carry my notepad in, and that one definitely worked. =D

As we are a small school with little funding, our Great Glass Elevator couldn't be that spectacular, but I think our acting made up for it. If only the Great Metal Frame could've stayed intact; it kept coming apart because somebody kept pushing up against it too much...but whatever, it worked out alright.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the most awesomeness bow that has ever been done with three people in RHST theatre history; the Teavee family's version of Charlies' Angels. XD Polly...Nick...I love you two. <3

*loooooooooooong sigh*

And now, after a long drive from Thanksgiving in New York with my mum's family to back home here in Maryland...I'm hitting the sack. Bonne nuit, mes amis! *collapses onto bed*

Uh...yo, everyone. *waves sheepishly*

Let me see...what's been going on?

I'm a junior. *OMFG!*

The play for Rockville this year is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I just KNEW Erik would get Charlie; he looks so much like Freddie Highmore, it's not even funny. Well okay, yeah, it is, but WHATEVA. I'm Mrs. Teavee, so I'm married to Nick Towns (Mr. Teavee, Danny Zuko in last year's Grease and the Scarecrow in the Wiz) and Polly Ingram is my kid, Mike Teavee. I'm okay with it though; improv on a character is always fun...I just wish I could contribute more to the quality of this show...I have to be honest; I'm really quite concerned with several choices for the cast. But Rockville plays have always turned out alright, so...I've just got to be like Maureen and take a leap of faith here. No matter what happens, though, I stand with Rockville High School Theatre, good or bad; at RHST, I feel like people can understand at least a little about how much I care about drama.

I'm stressing a little with my grades, as usual, but I think I'll be able to fix it in time for the end of the marking period.

I started a new Yu-Gi-Oh shonen-ai parody, Namonaki Ai, which is a Yami/Yugi, Joey/Seto and Ryou/Bakura version of the Little Mermaid. So far, I think it's doing well.

Emily and Mary finally got me into FMA...and I only have one thng to say:

ED.

AND.

AL.

ARE.

HOT.

Especially together in incesty goodness. X3

Okay...now for an angry rant. My mum and I told my dad when we were over in San Diego about me wanting to be an elemtentary school teacher, and instead of supporting me as he always claims he does, he told me it would be better if I get into a better college and study computer programming or something, because it would be a higher paying job and it's more "versatile" of a study! Excuse me?! This is my life, buddy, and since you're never there unless to lecture me or to lie about wanting to know about my life, you don't have any right to tell me what I can and can't do! If he knew me at all, he'd know that, unlike him, I don't need a big house, I'm not a bulk shopper and I'm not a huge spender on technology and such! If he knew me, he'd know all I'd need is a small house, the Internet and a car! That's all! Not only that, but even when Mum and I sent him statistics showing that teachers are getting paid very well in San Diego (and, in fact, most of the U.S.) due to a lack of good teachers, he still wouldn't accept it! What makes me even more angry about this is that he hates his mother (my grandma) because Grandma made him take a different study in college than he wanted and he flunked out! That is the source of all his anger and hatred toward authority, and the source of his desire for freedom and justice, and he's shoving me to do something I don't want to do! Well, the good news is that I don't give a fuck about anything he says; I only have this life, and I'm not going to give him all the control in it when he doesn't know anything about what's right for me.

Banners...I've got a new obsession; NIGHTWISH!!!! <3

OMG, WTF?!?!?!

I should NOT have waited this long to post. *whacks herself forever*

*looks at last entry* Damn, this post is ancient. DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN. X(Um...Phantom was so fucking awesome, no joke. Go and see it, like NOW. The Phantom made me cry. I remember I met a girl there who had an American Girl doll (anyone else read those books when they were younger? I used to LOVE those books ) and was a Phantomaholic too. Her mother said they were also going to see Wicked, and my mum and I were like "Yay! We saw that and it rocked!" I wish I wasn't at my dad's house right now...I need to show you all my Phantom attire. It was AWESOMENESS.

Yesterday was my dear friend Claire's birthday, and I vowed to make her a present for it when I heard her birthday was coming up...of course, there's no Microsoft Paint on my dad's computer, so I had to mess around with Photoshop for a while before I could do what I wanted with it...but finally, today, I FINISHED THE CARD. I only wish I could've finished it yesterday, but... *sighs* So now, everyone, on the count of three, you're going to wish Claire happy birthday. Okay? 1...2...3!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CLAIRE-CHAN!

I hope you like the card, hun.

YouTube rox times forever, just to let you know. I've been making a colletion of favorite videos just to keep track of awesomeness, and my step-bro Chez and I have been roaring with laughter over here after watching some of the shit on it (hilarious shit, of course). Here's a few things I suggest to check out...

If you like Moulin Rouge and Yu-Gi-Oh...
If you know ANYTHING about Sailor Moon and Jerry Springer...
If you like Yu-Gi-Oh, whether or not you know South Park...
If you've ever wanted to see Pegasus get cussed at South Park style...
If you've ever wanted to see Kaiba with green hair and a sophisticated air when cursing...
If you thought the Numa Numa song was funny at normal speed...
If you ever wanted to see Yami and Yugi as a feuding gay couple...
If you ever wanted to see Tea and Joey sing a song about the Internet...
If you ever wanted to see Inuyasha BLAME CANADA...
And finally, if you ever wanted to see Yami and Pegasus get into a heated debate about farming with British accents...

Very, VERY amusing time. XD

Speaking of YouTube, I have a new favorite song. It's called "Swanheart," and it's by Nightwish, who also did a cool version of song "Phantom of the Opera." The lyrics are just sooooo cool. They sorta inspired me into making a new OC that I have a story for but that I don't think I will ever have time to write (great, ANOTHER to add to the collection -_-). But the song rox anyway. Here are the lyrics:

All those beautiful people
I want to have them all
All those porcelain models
If only I could make them fall

Be my heart a well of love
Flowing free so far above

A wintry eve
Once upon a tale
An Ugly Duckling
Lost in a verse
Of a sparrow's carol
Dreaming the stars

Be my heart a well of love
Flowing free so far above

In my world
Love is for poets
Never the famous balcony scene
Just a dying faith
On a heaven's gate

Crystal pond awaits the lorn
Tonight another morn for the lonely one is born

And here's the AMV I heard it from...

This biography on Bram Stoker, the writer of Dracula, that I am reading is for summer reading, but I'm totally fascinated by this dude now. I love the movie Dracula with Gary Oldman, like, TO PIECES, but I never knew that Bram Stoker worked at a theatre almost his whole life and that's where he met the guy who inspired him to write Dracula! I can sort of relate to him, being in love with the arts and the supernatural but also good with writing. It's cool, just grabbing a book about a guy you vaguely know to read for school and then learn that you have a connection with him.

I made Chez watch RENT with me, and he's in love with Rosario Dawson (Mimi). For someone who doesn't like musicals, he liked it okay, he told me. He said he liked La Vie Boheme (why am I not surprised? it has the words "mucho masterbation" in it, who wouldn't? ). At the very beginning he didn't really like Tracie Thoms (Joanne) or Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel), but after he heard Tracie sing and saw Wilson in a skirt, he changed his mind.

::EDIT:: I made two banners now that I know how to use Photoshop to a certain extent. ^^;;;
